May Meeting – Scottish Home Baking

Hi everyone, just a heads up to confirm the next event which is now less than 2 weeks away!

The next meeting of the Glasgow Baking Club is to be held on Monday 27th May, 7.00pm to 9.00pm, at a secret location in Glasgow’s West End.  (Kirsteen has arranged a lovely sounding place!)

The exact location will be disclosed by email shortly after the closing date.

There are  20 spaces available for our next meeting, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served, basis.

We’ll have a special guest at this event; Melanie Andrews the founder of the Scottish Homebaking Awards will be there at the start (and is bringing a bake of her own) to give us a wee talk on her love of home baking, the SHBA scheme and the forthcoming ‘Battle of the Bakes’ TV programme which will showcase the some of best home bakers in Scotland.  She is still looking for contestants!

The theme for this event is Scottish.

If you want to join in on the baking fun, please send an email with your name, and what you would like to bake, to olivedragonflybex@gmail.com (while Ali is on Maternity leave!), by 20th May 2013.
If we receive duplicate suggestions, we may need to ask you to choose another bake.

Thank you for reading, and Good Luck!
