#GreatPinkBakeOff Event – The Report

A couple of weeks ago we held our event to raise money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s Great Pink Bake Off campaign at The No.1 Chocolate Factory.  The theme for this event was Pink as it was for the Pink Bake Off and we managed to raise a fantastic £97.50 on the night (and I sold a few tasters the next day at work so that bumped it up to £100)!

Here are the amazing bakes we got to sample:

Bex Pink Raspberry Meringues with Sweet Basil Cream
Kirsteen Battenburg
Tracy Bradley Perfectly Pink Cupcakes
Gillian Pink Coconut Cake
Liz Almond and Blackcurrant Sponge
Shuna Raspberry Bra Cake
Fiona Mini Empire Biscuits
Alison Hutton Cava & Chambord Cupcakes
Sandra Honey Cream Gateau
Ruby Pink Jam Squares
Kyla Strawberry Surprise
Kirsty Montgomery Orange and Raspberry Cupcakes

It was a brilliant evening at The No. 1 Chocolate Factory at St. George’s Cross.  As well as being an ACTUAL chocolate factory where you can learn to make chocolates, it’s a lovely bright cafe with loads of space and was an ideal venue for our meeting.  Their hot chocolate is immense and their coffee’s pretty good too 🙂
