On Monday evening we held our vintage event in the perfect themed venue, The Cup and Saucer which is located on the 1st floor of De Courcy’s Arcade in Cresswell Lane. It’ s a beautiful little cafe with proper home baking and an amazing collection of vintage crockery, not to mention curios and furniture! The owner, Samantha was a wonderful hostess and even made us a cake herself – a delicious parsnip and golden syrup cake!
We also had a visit from the Evening Times who will be writing an article about us this week! Exciting stuff!
The theme for the bakes was wartime bakes to fit in with our vintage venue and the date being remembrance day. We received bunting and napkins from Poppy Scotland and we all donated to the cause on the night.
We had lots of new members join us for this event and it was lovely to see so many new faces. It turned out one person even lives in the same street as me! Small world 🙂 It was a much less sugary affair this time with the wartime theme but none the less tasty…
