Baby Bakes Event

Just a quick post with some details. There are a few places remaining for Bex’s final event with GBC on Monday evening. If you would like to join us please email Kirsteen (kirsteen.oliver@ntlworld.com) with your choice of bake and we’ll add you to the list 🙂

We’re meeting at The Tea Rooms at the Butterfly & Pig
on Bath Street 7-9pm.

P.S. We still need a volunteer to take over the GBC blog, someone who can post about upcoming events and a write up after each one. You just need to be able to sign up for a WordPress account and be able to write simple posts and add pictures. Email Kirsteen at the address above if you’re interested in helping out 🙂

Next meeting – Baby Bakes

We’ve finally organised our next meeting, sorry it’s been so long in between meetings this time round but hopefully we can make this a great one!  It will be my last at the club and I’d love to see as many of you as possible before I move to Sussex.  🙂

We’re meeting at a venue in town and the theme is baby bakes in honour of my imminent twins 😉  Basically just think in miniature or things with a baby theme and remember our rules are anything baked, sweet or savoury, so it could range from mini filled baked potatoes to mini macarons or cute little cupcakes.  (Hint – there’s LOADS of inspiration if you google image search ‘baby shower bakes’ – I just chose a green picture as it’s my favourite colour!)

The meeting is 7-9pm on Monday 18th August, further details will be emailed as usual a week or so prior to the event.  As I am leaving very soon and crazy busy at the moment, this time round can you please email Kirsteen, kirsteen.oliver@ntlworld.com, to reserve your place and choice of bake.

I will hopefully have time to write up the post-event report but after that, someone else will be taking over the blog.  I’m really going to miss baking club, I’ve made some lovely friends attending all the events and I hope I manage to find (or create) a similar group when I move down south.  Assuming I eventually have time with 2 babies to take care of!!!  😉
